Since its establishment in 2016, the Graduate Institute of Data Science, Taipei Medical University has demonstrated outstanding achievements from both faculty and students, and has received numerous large-scale research grants from government agencies and private enterprises, covering diverse fields such as smart healthcare, biostatistics, smart IoT, and AI applications. With big data and artificial intelligence at its core, the institute is dedicated to driving innovative applications and fostering the development of emerging industries, while also enhancing the competitiveness of existing sectors.
Leveraging TMU’s strengths in medicine, pharmacy, and public health, the institute focuses on smart healthcare, precision health, and digital transformation, advancing the deep integration of medicine and data science. The curriculum encompasses artificial intelligence, big data, generative AI, and data visualization, and offers micro-programs in smart healthcare and health big data, thereby strengthening students’ professional expertise and interdisciplinary capabilities. Through industry-academia collaboration and international exchange, the institute is committed to cultivating professionals who can lead digital transformation and the advancement of smart health.
